First identify what has been measured
An overall enclosure dimension, a rack-frame dimension and a habitat-tub dimension are not interchangeable. Keep the units and measurement order from the specification. PaVos D1 lists overall length × width × height; a PaBox tub measurement describes one removable habitat unit. Do not interpret a frame entry as the height of every assembled multi-level configuration.
A worked comparison: PaBox 45M and 45L
45M: tub outside 45 × 30 × 10 cm; tub inside 41.3 × 25 × 10 cm.
45L: tub outside 45 × 15 × 7.7 cm; tub inside 41.3 × 11.5 × 7.7 cm.
Both have a listed external length of 45 cm, but their internal width and height differ. Compare all three dimensions rather than the model name or a single length.
Overall dimensions are for installation planning
PaVos D1 is listed at 500 × 350 × 400 mm, or 50 × 35 × 40 cm, overall. This is useful for initial placement planning. It is not a measured internal volume: glass, housing and integrated equipment occupy space. Request internal usable dimensions when planning the habitat.
Plan the interior and daily access
Allow for substrate depth, hides, furnishings, water containers and equipment. Check whether opening a door or withdrawing a tub requires extra clearance outside the enclosure. A product photograph and a nominal volume cannot substitute for this layout check. Appropriate habitat space depends on the animal and its life stage.
What to send with an enquiry
Send a sketch or measurements of the installation area, the model, intended use and equipment requirements. Ask for both assembled external dimensions and the internal dimensions of each habitat unit. Where a catalog entry is unclear, obtain model-specific confirmation before ordering.
